The Vision for PJGH

The vision of PJGH is “Towards a Maturing Church”

Paul in Ephesians 4:13 defines it as

attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ...

The Mission for PJGH

The mission of PJGH is

Enlarging Our Tent
Isaiah 54:2

PJGH need to look beyond ourselves, to dare cross boundaries into unknown territories and gain higher ground.

The Strategy for PJGH

For PJGH to fulfill her targeted 5 year goals for the period 2006 – Year 2010, the leadership will focus on the following:

1. To equip and empower, we are to:-
  • raise 75 leaders for Care and Share groups and another 33 leaders for the other 11 church ministries by 2010.
  • increase the number of Care Groups to 25 with 15 active participating members in each group by 2010.
  • increase members’ involvement in the various ministries of the church.
  • strengthen and enrich family life through marriage enrichment and parenting programmes.
  • provide counselling and network of counsellors for reference.
  • provide an integrated and sustained Christian Education Programme.

  • 2. To engage and expand,we are to:-
  • target a church membership of 375 by 2010.
  • make Project Suria self-sufficient by 2010.
  • maintain a giving of 33% of the church’s total offerings towards missions.
  • conduct one short mission trip a year.
  • initiate a major Social Concern project/programme.

Thought for the Week:

The Two Ways

Enter through the narrow gate….that leads to life and there are few who find it.

Matthew 7:13-14

The way that is broad is easy, attractive, inclusive, permissive and self-oriented way of the world. It has few rules, few restrictions and few requirements. All you need to do is profess Jesus or at least seem religious and you’ll be accepted into the group.

The narrow way is the hard and demanding way – the way of self-denial and the cross. When Jesus was asked,”Lord, are there just a few who are being saved?” He replied, “Strive to enter though the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able” (Lk 13 : 23 – 24).The Greek word for strive indicates that entering the door to God’s kingdom takes conscious, purposeful and intense effort.

The narrow way is for those who wants God’s kingdom at any cost. Make sure that you are following Christ as Lord along that narrow way. We certainly live amid a “broad way” mentality but Christ has shown us otherwise that we should live on His Word and ways.

We thank Thee, O blessed Master, that Thou hast forgiven us our sins and has made us Thine forever through your precious blood. Amen.
